Breaking out from My Parents Home

There are a set of apartments in downtown Denver that I’ve had my eye on for a while. I’ve been looking at different places because I feel that it’s finally time for me to leave the nest. I’ve been staying with my parents for a while since leaving college. They let me live at home rent free, but I don’t exactly have as much freedom as I would like. They won’t let me drink alcohol in the house, and I can only have a limited number of people over. I just want to be able to make my own rules and be in my own space.

Most people my age would probably hop at the chance to live somewhere rent free, but they would still want their independence. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they want to step out on their own and make something of themselves. Continue reading
